Thinking introver
Ti is the abbreviation of Thinking introvert. The symbol T, on its own, constitutes as the intelligence engine. Based on the STIFIn concept, there are five intelligence engines, and T is one of them. The identity of the intelligence engine becomes a personality when it is associated/paired with one of the two intelligence drives: i (introvert) and e (extrovert). Therefore, Ti is already a personality identity. T is written in capital letters because its influence as an intelligence engine is bigger than the i that is written in small letters as the intelligence drive.
- The Brain’s Operational System
A simple explanation for the Thinking introvert type would be a type of personality that is based on logical intelligence that works from the inside of the self towards the outside. The operation system for the Ti type is located in the upper part of the left hemisphere, otherwise known as the left brain. In the left brain, the part that directs the intelligence is in the white layer that is located on the inner part of the brain.
White matter has a denser texture as compared to grey matter (located on the surface of the brain) because it consists of more brain cells. This higher density allows the intelligence drive to move from the inside to the outside of the brain. This makes the person self-provide the need to
The intelligence machine Thinking (T) is identic to bones. They have big and strong bones. With a pyknic physique, it is evident that the bones are a dominant aspect. They are considered pyknic because of the small volume of the body and a bigger bone volume as compared to other types.
As a result, the skeleton buffers the burden that they carry and so it makes it easier for them to move around. Aside from that, this type is supported by the availability of a charger that is inside of them, which makes them have energetic bones.
Even though the proportion of their bones are more dominant than the size of their body, in general the T intelligence machine is lazy. This is because the energy that is available tends to be sucked to the head. The usage of the energy by the head eats up a huge amount of that energy and causes the intelligence machine to be lazy.
- Unique Characteristics
Based on the viewpoint of psychology (behaviorism), the Ti personality must have unique behavioral characteristics that are different from those of the other eight characteristics, that can be proven and measured. There are ten items that can be proven exist and can be measured psychometrically.
Based on the STIFIn concept, the ten items become more permanent personalities that will never change and always exist with age. The ten characteristics are:
As a whole personality, the Ti type has diametral sides, such as, very logical but when stuck becomes dependent on factor x, manages well but is a coward to come out of the comfort zone, independent but secretive, and aggressive but wants to be served.
Besides that, this type also judges in black and white but is easily provoked, sharp and objective but sometimes fails to grasp the context of the big picture, and becomes a master profit machine but often trapped by trivial things. This is why this type needs to be aware of their weaknesses and make efforts to exploit their strengths. Usually if their strengths develop further, their weaknesses can be covered.
- Strengths
The Ti personality type is unique because they have the ability to reason deeply in the form of mastery of technology, machinery, and mechanics that exceeds eight other types of personality. This strength can be matched with technical intelligence, otherwise known as Technical Quotient (TQ).
The Ti type’s strength automatically functions effectively. This type treats their work with an output per standard that must be high. Jobs for this type must be effective and must produce a high level of certainty. In the end, the Ti type manages processes and arranges systems until activities go smoothly and certainly.
The way they spend must also be effective. Even including sharing, this type is very calculative. This type likes to be asked of their opinions and suggestions rather than their money if they think it is not effective.
- Chemistry
With their strengths in specializations, expertise, left brain ability, independence, character akin to bones (sturdy), and a dominant proportion of bone to body size ratio, the Ti type can become much more successful if they have footprints to follow in their activities.
The Ti type rarely goes through with businesses that don’t have permanent footprints/headquarters/offices/garages. This makes their business unstable and unstructured. This type must begin in a certain location and develop it into something big.
That location becomes the footprint that allows the Ti type to achieve the throne as their power. The size of the footprint is in line with the size of the throne or power. Basically, this type will become the most enthroned person as long as he/she seeks the throne beginning from that footprint.
- Role
With the head function being dominant, the T type prefers jobs that require hard thinking that needs to be done to solve problems. They can arrange a sequence of logic as a method to solve problems.
This is what makes the T type seem cold-handed. Every problem becomes their responsibility that can be solved well. And if the ability of the head is combined with the sturdy character, an unwavering and stubborn personality is born.
If the T type is driven from the inside to the outside and becomes the Ti type, a more independent character emerges. This makes this type prefer roles as people who overcome problems and can work alone like experts.
The expertise of this type becomes more specific, like a specialist. This is because of the way the drive works from the inside to the outside so they have a machine that pushes them to pursue or dig into problems specifically and deeply.
- Target and Expectations
The work target of the Ti type is to produce stability in certainty. The Ti type’s managing skills are very good. They are able to calculate all types of aspects that can cause problems in the future and find solutions by learning from the information that they recorded. Expectations of this type lies in their ability to manage effectively, complete work so as to be worthier to be given a larger authority.
- Direction of Brand
For the Ti type, their expertise becomes their brand. With this expertise, this type is found useful wherever they go. The hourly rate for this type becomes more expensive because of this expertise. The society or market usually refers to this type when they are looking for experts in a certain field.
- Methods of Learning
Generally, the Ti type does not experience problems when it comes to learning. Subjects that are to be learned usually require the brain to reason, calculate, and structure. This type is already used to reasoning material to find the logical content and important points of a certain material.
The left brain of the Ti type always needs ‘fooding’ with thought processes; they usually like to think, whether they are asked to or not. The result of this is that this type becomes people who love reading books and become experts on that material.
Even when they are not motivated, the Ti type already has an independence when it comes to learning. But, in order to increase this motivation, this type needs to be pushed by getting recognition from the people they respect.
Recognition here does not mean praise. It is more similar to appreciation or acknowledgement that they made progress by people whom they respect, such as their parents, teachers, seniors, or even competitors.
- Choice of School/Profession
The main priority when choosing a major or profession for the Ti type is to direct them to one of the five industrial choices: technology research, information technology, mining, construction, health, garment.
Some other choices of professions would be manager/executive/judiciary, manufacture, business property, farming, researcher, manufacturer, oil industry, drilling, programmer, doctor, pharmacist, economist, professor/teacher, property, engineer, physicist, chemist, management consultant, technocrat, bureaucrat, tax, producer, quality control, auditor, strategist, football coach, policy maker, system analyst, developer, athlete, etc.
In the future, there will be a larger variety of professions to choose from. But if choosing a major or a profession based on the Ti type standard, four key concepts must be considered: reasoning, bones, independence, and depth.
This means that the major or profession that is chosen by this type must be dominated by aspects that require reasoning skills, rely on a strong stance, require the usage of independence in working, and fields that require depth or specialization.
