Thinking extrovert
Te is the abbreviation of Thinking extrovert. The symbol T, on its own, constitutes as the intelligence engine. Based on the STIFIn concept, there are five intelligence engines, and T is one of them. The identity of the intelligence engine becomes a personality when it is associated/paired with one of the two intelligence drives: i (introvert) and e (extrovert). Therefore, Te is already a personality identity. T is written in capital letters because its influence as an intelligence engine is bigger than the e that is written in small letters as the intelligence drive.
- The Brain’s Operational System
A simple explanation for the Thinking extrovert type would be a type of personality that is based on logical intelligence that works outside to the inside of the self. The operation system for the Te type is located in the upper part of the left hemisphere, otherwise known as the left brain. In the left brain, the part that directs the intelligence is in the grey layer that is located on the outer part of the brain.
Grey matter has a less dense texture as compared to white matter (located on the inner part of the brain) because it consists of less brain cells. This higher density allows the intelligence drive to move from the outside to the inside of the brain. This makes the person become more adaptive to the outside world because the outside environment is where they get the energy to think.
- Physical Topology
The intelligence machine Thinking (T) is identic to bones. They have big and strong bones. With a pyknic physique, it is evident that the bones are a dominant aspect. They are considered pyknic because of the small volume of the body and a bigger bone volume as compared to other types.
As a result, the skeleton buffers the burden that they carry and so it makes it easier for them to move around. The Te type does not have a charger inside of them – it is on the outside. This is what makes the Te type seem as though they have low energy bones.
Even though the proportion of their bones are more dominant than the size of their body, in general the T intelligence machine is lazy. This is because the energy that is available tends to be sucked to the head. The usage of the energy by the head eats up a huge amount of that energy and causes the intelligence machine to be lazy.
- Unique Characteristics
Based on the viewpoint of psychology (behaviorism), the Te personality must have unique behavioral characteristics that are different from those of the other eight characteristics, that can be proven and measured. There are ten items that can be proven exist and can be measured psychometrically.
Based on the STIFIn concept, the ten items become more permanent personalities that will never change and always exist with age. The ten characteristics are:
As a whole personality, the Te type has diametral sides, such as, likes victory like a conqueror but doesn’t have enough stamina to keep competing, empirical truths only come from the self and does not like truths and advice from other people, and clever at accumulating profit with wide coverage but cannot make long term priorities.
Aside from that, their role is very circulative in all entities but they cannot read aspirations, has a dynamic life cycle but is too normative. This is why this type needs to be aware of their weaknesses and make efforts to exploit their strengths. Usually if their strengths develop further, their weaknesses can be covered.
- Strengths
The Te personality type has a distinctiveness because they have the ability to reason extensively in the form of management control and more effective logic that exceeds the other eight types of personality. This advantage can be compared with logic intelligence, or LQ (Logical Quotient)
The Te type is good at gathering the strength to produce victory for themselves and their organizations. For this type, the organization will be managed like a factory, army, bureaucracy, or superior because the authority is entirely in their hands. This way of organization makes them successful in multiplying yields or production.
In short, the Te type has natural advantages that are reflected in the way it works which is always looking for opportunities to multiply. This type treats its work by controlling the process appropriately – a process that multiplies productivity.
This is in line with the nature of money for this type. The Te type is the type that is most capable of managing finances by accumulating or collecting. How this type spends expenses is actually very rational but has tactical abilities if they see an opportunity to accumulate profits.
- Chemistry
With a large span of control, general logic ability, the ability to multiply results, bone-like character (sturdy), and the presence of bones that are more dominant than body size, the Te type will be far more successful if they have a factory to run the ‘engine’. The Te type needs to be more concrete in its business in a tangible form, for example in the form of a factory so the machine that multiplies can work well.
The Te type has the ability to reach the throne anywhere if all kinds of resources that come under their control are managed mechanically as if they were a factory. If they have a factory (in the real sense), then this type will have a position in the community as a figure who deserves a higher throne.
The greatness of the factory is in line with the greatness of the throne or the power of the Te type. Basically, the Te type is indeed the most sought after by the throne. This is due to the type of self to the Te type, the inherent charisma of their authority. If given a mandate, this type will run it properly.
- Role
With the head function being dominant, the T type prefers jobs that require hard thinking that needs to be done to solve problems. They can arrange a sequence of logic as a method to solve problems.
This is what makes the T type seem cold-handed. Every problem becomes their responsibility that can be solved well. And if the ability of the head is combined with the sturdy character, an unwavering and stubborn personality is born.
If this type is driven from the outside in and becomes the Te type, the main characteristics that will appear are fair, objective, and accepting of logical arguments. That makes the Te type assume the proper role of a chief who leads with full authority to ensure justice and logic that can work effectively. The role is followed by the ability to manage and control a good organization.
- Target and Expectations
For the Te type, the ability to control the production process becomes a successful way to gain power. They will be very devastated if in the end they are not given the authority to make decisions. The target of this type is to get full authority. With this authority they can fully control the running of the organization. This type will control the organization by giving instructions, directives, and briefings.
- Direction of the Brand
This type leads by having great managerial abilities. This type is given the brand because of their managerial abilities that are effective. If there is a fight to show the ability of management and control of the organization, then the Te type is the one who will win it. In addition, to having systematic and effective managerial abilities, naturally this type is also power hungry.
- Methods of Learning
In general, the Te type does not experience internal problems when learning. In general, subject matter requires the workings of the brain such as reasoning, counting, and structuring. The Te type is used to reasoning material to get logic by making structures and schemes that makes it easy. This is because the Te type actually doesn’t want things to get too complicated.
The left brain of Te type always requires ‘fooding’ in a way of thinking. Basically, they like to think, whether asked to or not. The end result causes the Te type to be the most insightful people because of the collection of books that they read. Although mastery of each topic of the book is not too deep, this type gets the structure of thinking from each reading.
Thus, the Te type has the ability to master the lesson not from the microscopic details, but from the development of their insight.
The most effective way to motivate the Te type is to give them the opportunity to compete to defeat others. This type feels helped if path to winning and defeating their opponents in various ranks are opened. On the contrary, this type feels empty and nervous if they cannot fight because they feel that they have the capacity to defeat their opponents.
- Choice of School/Profession
The main priority when choosing a major or profession for the Te type is to direct them to one of the five industrial choices: management/government, manufacturing, property, farming
Some other choices of professions would be research and technology, mining, construction, health industry, researcher, manufacturer, oil industry, drilling, programmer, doctor, pharmacist, economist, professor/teacher, property, engineer, physicist, chemist, management consultant, technocrat, bureaucrat, tax, producer, quality control, auditor, strategist, football coach, policy maker, system analyst, developer, athlete, etc.
In the future, there will be a larger variety of professions to choose from. But if choosing a major or a profession based on the Te type standard, four key concepts must be considered: reasoning, bones, independence, and expanding.
