Feeling introvert

Fi is the abbreviation of Feeling introvert. The symbol F, on its own, constitutes as the intelligence engine. Based on the STIFIn concept, there are five intelligence engines, and F is one of them. The identity of the intelligence engine becomes a personality when it is associated/paired with one of the two intelligence drives: i (introvert) and e (extrovert). Therefore, Fi is already a personality identity. F is written in capital letters because its influence as an intelligence engine is bigger than the i that is written in small letters as the intelligence drive.

• The Brain’s Operational System

A simple explanation for the Feeling introvert type would be a type of personality that is based on emotional intelligence that works from the inside of the self towards the outside. The operation system for the Fi type is located in the lower part of the right hemisphere, otherwise known as the right limbic. In the right limbic, the part that directs the intelligence is in the white layer that is located on the inner part of the brain.

White matter has a denser texture as compared to grey matter (located on the surface of the brain) because it consists of more brain cells. This higher density allows the intelligence drive to move from the inside to the outside of the brain. This makes the person self-provide the need to think. The energy that comes to manage the left brain comes from within the Fi type.

• Physical Topology

The intelligence machine Feeling (F) is identic to breathing. This type has a large breathing capacity. This large breathing capacity makes the F type have a larger engine, that is, the heart and the lungs. With big engines, this type can pump more oxygen into the bloodstream, especially the F type with the introvert (i) drive.

The Fi type is supported by the availability of a charger that is present inside of themselves, therefore it causes this type to have better emotional strength. The physical form of the F type is generally referred to as dysplastic because the big engines support the smaller bones so they feel heavier.

With big machines, the body structure of the Fi type looks wider and thicker. As a result the back of this type seems harder to move (called dysplastic). For the Fi type that has a charger that is present on the inside, the emotion power of this type is even stronger. Physically, this type can use deep breathing from its lungs.

Therefore, the breathing power of a large engine can be used for types of sports that require long-term stamina such as running a marathon.

• Unique Characteristics

Based on the viewpoint of psychology (behaviorism), the Fi personality must have unique behavioral characteristics that are different from those of the other eight characteristics, that can be proven and measured. There are ten items that can be proven exist and can be measured psychometrically.

Based on the STIFIn concept, the ten items become more permanent personalities that will never change and always exist with age. The ten characteristics are:

 As a whole personality, the Fi type has diametral sides, such as high spirits but behind those high spirits lies a desire to be pampered and cared for, soft and tender but sometimes stings, and a charismatic leader but has a bad habit of being easily offended.

Besides that, this type is a person who helps but calculates how much they must pay back for the help, a communicator who influences other people but has a weak commitment towards their principles, and also able to empathize but sometimes slow in taking action. This is why this type needs to be aware of their weaknesses and make efforts to exploit their strengths. Usually if their strengths develop further, their weaknesses can be covered.

• Strengths

            This personality type has special characteristics because they have creativity and intuition that exceeds eight other types of personality. This advantage can be matched with emotional intelligence, or EQ (Emotional Quotient).

With large respiratory strength, this type has the potential for better mental strength, being able to hear other people’s hearts for longer. This type is even able to maintain feelings and empathize better than others. In addition, the F type generally likes having more levels of love, whether to love or be loved. This emotional power makes this type be liked by many people (popular). The popularity of this type is the advantage.

In terms of financial management, type Fi seems very bossy (like a skipper). They easily help others in the hope that it will strengthen their position as a leader.

• Chemistry

The road to success of the Fi type is determined by their ability to create a platform to strengthen influence. With that platform, Fi-type figures will have a high bargaining position. It is important to underline that platforms formed by this type are often platforms that are emotionally tied.

Therefore, since the initial setup of the type Fi platform, it must be carefully designed so that it can accommodate the vision they is fighting for. Of course, this platform will easily collapse if not given maximum positive energy. Especially if the platform is constantly changing for the sake of pragmatic interests.

In fact, building a visionary platform takes a long time. Even though the Fi type has love chemistry, they must tie the love chemistry with something that has a long-term impact. In using the power of charisma, this type spreads influence – especially in terms of vision – to get love from followers. Therefore, this vision must be given a soul (touch of emotion) so that more people are bound by their leadership.

• Role

            Fi type’s high level of emotional intelligence allows them to be emotionally mature and generous at heart, which in turn makes it easier for them to share their affection with others. This emotional strength is what makes them feel like they should become leaders. And with the strong and deep energy that Fi types possess, they are fit to be leaders.

If type F is driven from the inside to become Fi type, a characteristic of confidence and a “never-ending supply” of intrinsic emotional energy. This causes the Fi type to feel comfortable with their leadership role.

• Targets and Prospects

            With the charismatic, intrinsic leadership qualities of the Fi type, they spend their lives spreading charm on a daily basis. If the Fi type is accepted as a leader of their surroundings, it would be in line with their expectations. Fi type would reach the stage of self-actualization by taking on the role of a leader. In the event that they do not succeed in becoming leaders, they will constantly look for chances to take on a role of leadership.

Based on these leadership qualities, the Fi type offers new idealism. Usually, the Fi type is someone who possesses strong ideologies and is a visionary. The ideologies of the Fi type stems from their emotional maturity that is in line with their fighting spirit. The emotional strength/power that the Fi type must fight for is the ability to understand society’s depth of the soul. This is what helps the Fi type target a certain vision that must be fought for together.

One way to maintain the Fi type’s influence on other people is to contribute to their followers’ well-being. A consequence of the affection towards their followers, this type often times extend a helping hand to their followers.

The strength of the leadership qualities that Fi types possess becomes a self-brand. This type is branded as a person that has good leadership qualities. In order to obtain this branding, the Fi type does not have to formally lead a certain organization; even informally, the ‘leadership’ brand is already attached to the person.

If the Fi type does not have a leadership brand, then it is as though they have been cut off from their roots. This means that the main source of power that this type is supposed to possess in the form of radiating affection to society is hindered.

• Learning Methods

The best way to learn for an Fi type is to be a good listener no matter how tempting it is to speak. The Fi type likes to speak and spreads charm with their words. But, this type has the potential to learn more if they become good listeners. Therefore, if an Fi type were attending a class, he/she should just sit and concentrate on listening to the teacher’s explanation.

If necessary, the teacher’s explanations should be recorded on an MP3 player and listened to repeatedly, until this type gets the “feel”. To the Fi type, it is hard to concentrate for long periods of time. This type often gets carried away with their emotions and the emotional atmosphere. The recording that the Fi type hears allows them to grasp the whole picture. In other words, the F type generally has to learn using the ears (hearing).

The motivation to learn for the Fi type increases with their mood. With that said, when this type is in a mood to do something, nothing can stop them.

When the Fi type is spirited, it is easy to notice, but when lazy, this type will find it hard to begin the task again. That is why this type needs to be given the emotional touch every time this type feels like they lost their mood. Increase and decrease in motivation depends on the emotional condition at a given time. Maintaining a level of motivation for the F type indeed requires extraordinary patience.

• Choice of School/Profession

            The main priority when choosing a major or profession for the Fi type is to direct them to one of the four industrial choices: politics, governance, law, or arts.

Some other choices of professions would be psychologist, communication expert, diplomat, public relations officer, promotor, investor, statesman, trainer/public speaker, state administrator, artist, humanist, international relations, salesman, inspirator, motivator, psychiatrist, counselor, ideologist, personnel, lawyer, bureaucrat, activist, marathon athlete, etc.

In the future, there will be a larger variety of professions to choose from. But if choosing a major or a profession based on the Fi type standard, four concepts must be considered: feeling, breathing, leading, and loving.

This means that the major or profession that is chosen by this type must be dominated by aspects that require emotional involvement (including the ability to communicate meaningfully), must physically require longer breaths and high spirits that will allow for a marathonic competition or workforce, and a major or profession that involves the charisma of leadership and the spreading of their charm so that this type is loved by more people.
